Congratulations CCA Science Team

Congratulations to the CCA Science Team.  Madison Colyer, Evangeline Kennedy and Luke Tiday placed FIRST in the state of Pennsylvania this week for their Water Bottle Shelter project.  These three 8th graders were challenged to use STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to solve a community problem.  From October through March, the team assembled and tested various human shelters made out of repurposed materials as a means of providing winter warmth to the homeless.  The NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) and the US Army are presenting each of these three CCA students with $1,000 US Savings Bonds.  Pray for them as they enter the next stage of the competition as Regional Competitors.   You can see their project online at www.waterbottleshelter.blogspot.com.
