What is the average class size?
Grades K-5 = 11, Grades 6-8 = 6, Grades 9-12 = 6

What is the age requirement for kindergarten?
Students entering kindergarten must by 5 years old by September 30.

Do the students wear school uniforms?
CCA does require students to wear uniforms as outlined in the Uniform Code.

Is the school accredited?
Yes.  We are accredited by A.C.S.I., the Association of Christian Schools International.

What type of textbooks are used for instruction?
We utilize a combination of Christian and secular publishers for our textbooks.

What are some of the colleges and universities CCA graduates have been accepted to?
CCA’s academic program prepares students for admission to the college of their choice.  Some of the colleges and universities CCA graduates have been admitted to include:  Pennsylvania State University, Shippensburg University, Messiah College, Liberty University, University of Pittsburgh, Cedarville University, Evangel College, Millersville University.

Are there opportunities for parental involvement?
There are several opportunities for parental involvement including fundraisers, special programs, volunteering in the classroom, and classroom parties. Clearances are required for volunteers in the classroom and on fieldtrips.  See CLEARANCES under the Campus Life tab.

What are the school office hours?
During the school year, the office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, excluding holidays.

Is there a lunch program?
No.  Students bring a bag lunch.  There are non-perishable items available for students who forget.

Do CCA students participate in standardized testing?
Yes. CCA  uses  the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) to assess our student academic progress and achievements according to state and national standards.  These assessments are typically administered during the 3rd quarter of school.

What sports are offered?
Grades K-5 has Spring Intramurals available as after school programs. Grades 6-12 compete against other private schools in soccer, volleyball, and basketball.  There is also a Spring Running Club for 6-12th.

Is there before and after school care available?
Yes, extended care is available both before (6:30 am – 7:45 am) school and after (2:35 pm – 5:30 pm) school.  Please refer to the Tuition and Fees page under Admissions on our website.
