Elementary—(Grades K-5) music is taught weekly to all students at the elementary level.  Choral music, rhythm, and beginning music reading is emphasized.  Musical selections often enhance the content taught in elementary classrooms.  Students have various opportunities to perform throughout the year in settings such as the Christmas Concert, Grandparents Day, and Chapel programs.



  • Private Piano instruction is available for an additional fee.  Lessons are given in half-hour segments.

The CCA 2016 show is Kipling’s: The Jungle Book. The drama is open by audition to all students grades 5-12 who are academically eligible.   Call the school for information on showtimes and ticketing  717-249-3692.  The Amphitheatre is located at the park behind the movie theater in the Walmart shopping plaza in Carlisle.



Art Program

 Elementary – (Grades K-5) Elementary art is a half-hour class per week, focusing on the basic elements of art, problem solving, and art history taught through a variety of media.


Middle School – (Grades 6-8)
Middle school art is a time for students to apply the elements and principles of art through studio production with various art mediums such as printmaking, drawing, collage and painting. Students will be exposed to contemporary and master artists as they seek inspiration for personal works of art.


High School – (Grades 9-12)

Art electives for the 2017-2018 school year include Illustration, Metals I, Fine Art I and Fine Metals II. High school art electives change every year in order to offer a variety of art mediums and artistic areas of study.
