Music is taught weekly to all students at the elementary level. Choral music, rhythm, and beginning music reading is emphasized. Musical selections often enhance the content taught in elementary classrooms. Students have various opportunities to perform throughout the year in settings such as the Christmas Concert, Grandparents Day, and Chapel programs.
Elementary art is a half-hour class per week, focusing on the basic elements of art, problem solving, and art history taught through a variety of media.
Middle school art is a time for students to apply the elements and principles of art through studio production with various art mediums such as printmaking, drawing, collage and painting. Students will be exposed to contemporary and master artists as they seek inspiration for personal works of art.
Art electives include Drawing, Painting, Concepts of Design and others. High school art electives change every year in order to offer a variety of art mediums and artistic areas of study.
