Carlisle Christian Academy Family and Friends,

The 2021 Senior class will be heading to Nashville, TN on June 6^th for their class mission trip.  They will be part of a Samaritan’s Purse crew rebuilding and fixing homes that were damaged by tornados.  Samaritan’s Purse has been wonderful to work with.  They supply the building materials for the project and the right location for our group’s abilities and we supply the willing workers.

The class has been looking forward to this since their Freshman year.  Although at that time they did not know where they would go, they did know they wanted a Senior mission trip.  To earn money to make this happen, they held 3 yard sales, worked at the Apple Harvest Festival, and made and sold hot lunches for the Middle and High school classes.

The class and chaperones are now in need of prayer warriors as they execute this mission.  Below are some things the class would appreciate prayers for.  We know your prayers before, during and after the trip will make this experience even more successful than we can even imagine.

1. Safe Travels there and back (and maybe that the “gas shortage” is over by the time we leave.)
2. Safety for the class and the Samaritan’s Purse crew.
3. That they have a positive impact on the people they work with, work for, and meet.
4. That they touch at least one person’s heart to open their heart to God and/or rejuvenate someone that has lost faith through these trying times.
5. That the work the Seniors do is done well and relieves stress from the homeowners.
6. And finally, the Seniors have a fun memorable trip and that this trip can inspire future classes to do something similar.

Tuesday, June 15 at 5:30pm, for anyone interested in heading down to Roots Country Market & Auction, we are planning to do a group picture of the kids in front of the mural with swimsuits, snorkels, flippers, floatie’s, whatever swim gear you have… this picture will be used as advertising for the auctioning of this project.
